Alec DePaolis

Alec hails from the great Northeast. A native of Rochester, New York, and he would like everyone to know this is nowhere near New York City...boom, there you go. In addition to cycling he enjoys running, baseball, and snowboarding. He is also a proud supporter of the New York Yankees and the Buffalo Bills.

Our Riders

This right here is the dream team. The storied history of Villanova cycling is carried on by those you will read about below. They come from different parts of the country and have different interests, but one thing unties them all: cycling. The team like to have fun and kid each other, but when it comes down to it, these are the people who put everything they have into representing Villanova Cycling. For a more detailed description of our team experience check out the attached document for a team profile!

Joe Montemarano
Joe is a junior Mechanical Engineering major from Pawling, New York. His passions include empty roads, farmers markets, and chicken parm (alright, dad). What does he dislike, you ask? Well his top two responses are, you guessed it, potholes and ignorance. His fun fact is also unbelievably cool: Joe rode his bike across Maine this summer to support the American Lung Association. Now that's pretty cool!
Greg Maino
Greg is a junior Mechanical Engineer from Chester Springs, PA. IF (and that's a big IF) he's not on his bike, he is most likely climbing, running, or playing soccer. He is terribly afraid of spiders and banana is his favorite flavor of everything. Fun fact: he trades stock options with his own capital because he enjoys the calculated risk and using statistics to his benefit.
Louis Rondinella
The pride of Freehold, NJ, Louis is a Mechy in the ROTC unit who loves all things country music (specifically Shotgun Rider by the one and only Tim McGraw), fishing, and outdoor activities. An experienced triathlete, Louis is excited to focus in on competitive cycling.

Brian Volk
Brain is a freshman within the School of Business. He's considering studying finance, economics, or math. Or all three. We'll keep you posted. In other words, he's coming for you, Goldman Sachs. The team's resident badass has triathlon experience and is looking to focus on cycling full time. When he's on the bike, you better believe Kanye is bumping in the background.
Andrew Prephan
Prep is a  senior who joins the team after a lengthy rowing career. "Boys in the boat" is still a phenomenal book, even though we're cyclists. As a Giant cyclist, both as a rider who puts out "mad" watts, and someone one riders a Giant bike, he's looking to make a splash in the E-trip-C this year.
